My husband and I started square dancing in 2002. It was when we attended our first square dance that we first saw the Round Dancing. My first thought was... 'I want to do that!' The next spring we had an opportunity to take lessons and we jumped at the chance.
Not long after starting two-step classes in Crawfordsville, we found out that another cuer was giving beginning waltz lessons in Lafayette, so we signed up there too... taking two-step in Crawfordsville and Waltz in Lafayette!... all at the same time! We were hooked.
A few years later, in 2008, after lots of lessons, we began teaching and cueing. We now often cue at several local square dance clubs. We have also cued at the National Square Dance Convention and several state conventions, teaching at the Indiana State Convention for the last 7 years.
We enjoy Round Dancing so much and we want to help others find this pleasure too. Anyone interested in lessons should contact us at davidcarolanderson@gmail.com or 765-294-4322.
